PREAMBLE
Let it be known throughout the County of Bruma that the following statutes, collectively titled Lex Brumae, constitute the full and binding legal code governing crimes against the Crown, the person, property, commerce, magic, religion, and military order. These laws are enacted under the authority of the Ruby Throne and enforced by the County Guard, the Imperial Legion, and all duly appointed officers of justice by the County of Bruma.
All persons within the jurisdiction of Bruma \- citizen, resident, traveller, or soldier \- are subject to these statutes.
